MORRISTOWN, N.J. – Heather Darling is a sitting freeholder. Michael Patrick Carroll was giving up his Assembly seat. It takes forever to count votes in Morris County for whatever reason.
The big winner appeared to be Darling on Tuesday night by a slim margin of only a few hundred votes out of over 23,000 cast; over 94% of precincts were tabulated as of 11:15 p.m.
