New Jersey Unions to Hold Taxpayer Funded Temper Tantrum on Friday

Man, we’re lucky that New Jersey can run on its own without employees, Save Jerseyeans. I don’t know about you all but I can’t go out and rally for random causes on my employer’s dollar. But the AFL-CIO and CWA (of Carla Katz fame) will be rallying in support of the temper tantrums out in Wisconsin. ON YOUR DOLLAR. The Star Ledger reports:

“The largest state employee union is organizing a rally at the Statehouse on Friday to express support for workers rallying in Wisconsin.
The Communications Workers of America, which represents most of the state’s employees, will hold the rally at noon and National AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka will address the crowd.
“We are all Wisconsin public workers this week,” Hetty Rosenstein, CWA state director, said in a statement. “They’re trying to blame middle class workers for the financial mess that Wall Street caused. It’s more politics as usual and we’re ready to fight back.”

I wonder if this could be considered a secondary strike.

This is really a precursor to our upcoming union battle in New Jersey which will be just as critical as the one in Wisconsin. Luckily, we elected Chris Christie and we, the taxpayers of New Jersey, will be represented by someone who understands that bending over backwards for a union which has bled our straight dry is unacceptable.

“Gov. Chris Christie has expressed support for Walker, saying he understands the need to make bold steps to balance a budget. Christie, who made national headlines fighting with the teachers union last year, will have his own time to do battle with the unions this year. Contracts for most of the state’s employees expire this year.
Christie has said he looks forward to collective bargaining, saying he will be “vigorous and adversarial” during the process.”(emphasis added)

  1. Good for them! I hope they can stir somthing up because they know, if one rogue Governor can break the unions, then others will follow. Like I said before, republicans are trying to destroy our way of life and it has to be stopped. They're becoming domestic terrorists in politician clothing. God help us all.
