ANALYSIS: Average New Jerseyan will save $3,700 next year from Big Beautiful Bill

New Jersey Democrats have worked overtime to demonize the Big Beautiful Bill, Save Jerseyans, but Garden State residents stand to win big.

A new analysis from the Tax Foundation reveals that the average New Jersey filer will save $3,700 starting with tax year 2026.

“Across all individual tax filers throughout the country, the average tax cut per taxpayer will be $3,752 in 2026,” the Foundation’s Garrett Watson explained. “The average tax cut falls to $2,505 in 2030 as certain individual changes like deductions for tips and overtime income expire, before rising again up to $3,301 in 2035 as inflation increases the nominal value of the permanent tax cuts.”

The savings gradually decrease to $2,704 in 2033.

Morris County filers will see the largest average savings ($5,239) while Cumberland County filers will see the most relatively modest savings ($2,034). The analysis accounted for the “No Tax on Tips,” no tax on overtime, expansions to child tax credits, and a Social Security tax cut among other changes contained in the Big Beautiful Bill.
