It’s been a busy day on the election integrity front, Save Jerseyans.
On Friday morning, we learned that the DOJ was sending election monitors to Passaic County, New Jersey.
On Friday afternoon, the Republican National Committee (RNC) sued Burlington County, New Jersey after the Democrat-controlled county refused to produce election administration-related records.
“New Jersey voters deserve transparency in how their elections are conducted,” said RNC Chairman Joe Gruters. “Burlington County’s refusal to provide basic public records undermines voters’ confidence in the election process. The RNC will hold election officials accountable and make sure every ballot is handled lawfully and securely.”
The RNC is suing the Burlington County Board of Elections for records associated with drop boxes including security footage footage and ballot custody logs. The RNC originally requested chain-of-custody logs back in August puruant to the New Jersey’s Open Public Records Act (OPRA). Back in July, the RNC sued the New Jersey Division of Elections after the state refused to produce voter roll maintenance and voting machine records.
