LD36 is not being targeted as a hot race by many in the media, or even many in the GOP establishment.
But here at Save Jersey, we have been watching LD36 ever since candidates have been announced. After losing one candidate (who remains on the ballot) the water is being carried by Don Diorio, senate candidate running against double-dipper Paul Sarlo, and Sara Rosengarten, the youngest state candidate this year, running for an open assembly seat against dual office holder Gary Schaer and someone named Caride.
While Diorio and Rosengarten are going to be wildly outspent in this district where the map has gotten considerably worse (there are already Sarlo-Schaer billboard everywhere. Someone seems worried…), they are employing an interesting targeting strategy that could yield some good results for the GOP.
