Air Supremacy

Mitt Romney has retaken the lead in the February 28th Michigan Primary according to the RCP average.

It’s all about air power, Save Jerseyans. And it’s amazing to see how direct the correlation is between ad buy volume and poll number movement.

In Michigan alone, Mitt Romney aired 604 radio commercials over the last 1.5 weeks to just 86 radio spots for Senator Santorum from his campaign and Super PAC combined.

Meanwhile, Moveon.org and their union allies are doing their best to beat down Romney; they’re spending millions on television advertising to make sure he loses the MI primary. One has to wonder whether these ads help or hurt Mitt. Michigan has an open primary and we know Democrats are organizing to buoy Santorum. Could UAW also have the effect of convincing some Republicans to rally around the union’s new favorite target?

The battle for air supremacy rages on… who will be left standing? Romney?

Or the Republicans his liberal opponents are rooting for?
