Christie and Coca Cola Bring Jobs to NJ

This morning Governor Christie and Lt. Governor Guadagno participated in an event to break ground for a new, massive Coca Cola Distribution and Sales Center in South Brunswick, NJ. This new facility will be the largest on the east coast and will bring at least 650 new associate jobs to New Jersey.

This is great sign for our state. The fact that a large multinational corporation such as Coca Cola would want to locate such a large expansion (in this economy no less!) in New Jersey should be a signal to businesses of any size that its safe to come home. With the lack of a Corzine to drag the business community down in lieu of favors for unions and special interests, I would not be surprised to see more Fortune 500 corporations expanding/relocating here. And why not? We are surrounded by 3 major markets with a solid shipping infrastructure perfect for distribution and sales. We have a large, concentrated population hungry for new job opportunities due the Obama recession, and of course, we have a Governor and Lt. Governor who will help ease the process and fast track a good economic development plan through the unnecessary red tape that clogs our system.

As Lt. Governor Guadagno says, “New Jersey is open for business again.”

  1. Im a physician who wants to leave clinical work to become a green consultant for hospitals and doctors offices. I have a MD and a BA in Biology but wasnt sure if I should get a MPH with an environmental health focus or a Masters of Environmental Science. Does anyone have any insight on what I should do or if anyone is doing anything like that?
