One memorable segment from NJ 101.5’s “Ask the Governor” program on Wednesday evening is making national news, Save Jerseyans.
A state worker self-identified as “Penny” from Blackwood (a neighborhood in Gloucester Township, Camden County) called-in to inquire how she was supposed to afford health coverage in the wake of state worker benefit reductions. The Governor responded with what was perhaps the best smackdown of America’s entitlement culture that I’ve ever heard! It was so good that Rush Limbaugh devoted a segment of his own Thursday show to the Governor’s reply:

In related news, a Zogby poll released earlier today found a plurality of GOP voters backing Chris Christie as the best candidate to defeat President Obama in 2012. John Zogby concluded Christie may be the “un-Obama” that Americans are looking for right now. I agree, although I’m sure Penny from Blackwood would not.
