Polls are closed across New Jersey.
One year ago last Wednesday, New Jersey voters went to the polls and shot down a record number of school district budgets. Less than 42% passed in April 2010.
The question of the hour: how many passed today?
We’ll know soon enough. The economy is what it is, but it does seem like many school boards are finally getting the message. Roughly 87% of 538 school budgets on the ballot this year are within Governor Christie’s 2% cap.
