Petulant Obama’s Friday Rant Caps Off Week of Decline

What a week for the United States of America, Save Jerseyans.

The Obama Administration surrendered a 40+ year run of American space dominance… and gleeful Russians know it.

Back down here on home soil, after two years of his party failing to pass budgets or offer substantive proposals of its own, Barack Obama threw a truly embarrassing, un-presidential, televised hissy fit over Speaker John Boehner’s “decision” to abandon deficit reduction negotiations. I’ve placed “decision” in quotation marks because it wasn’t really poor Boehner’s choice; the president continued to move the goal posts and refused to consider any plan without trillion dollar tax hikes on Americans during the worst economic tumult in 80 years. Yes, that’s a non-choice!

Overseas, the week also ended with horrifying terror attacks in Norway, providing yet more proof that the future of Western Civilization hangs in the balance. Clearly Europe’s security picture won’t improve if America’s financial future looks like that of Greece.

But forget about Moody’s ratings for a moment. This “week of decline” epitomizes why the only indicator that really matters right now – the President’s approval rating – is in complete free fall. Scott Rasmussen even has him in a dogfight with Ron Paul of all people! RON PAUL!!

Talking heads believe today’s impasse on the National Mall is good news for the so-called McConnell Plan. If it passes, Capitol Hill combatants will have done nothing more than acknowledge the obvious: America CANNOT stage a comeback until Barack Obama is defeated in November 2012. And I don’t like the rapidly-shrinking President Obama’s chances of political survival after this week’s events.
