Proving yet again that politicians simply do not learn when it comes to sexting, Lou Magazzu, a member of the Cumberland County Freeholder Board since 1997, has resigned amid photographs showing up on the internet.
If you dare, you can see in a semi-censored form at the website, Magazzu Watch. We have our very own Anthony Weiner in NewJersey!!! And he brings just as *cough* little *cough* to the table! According to the press today, Magazzu is admitting to some sort of online relationship that occurred in recent years for which these pictures were taken, proving what most people should already know: Nothing you send out on the internet ever goes away.
I just wanted to post and throw some credit to Save Jersey’s very own Ed Sheppard, who in his long analysis of why Jeff Van Drew stands to be beaten this year was one of the first people to report on this disgusting display of immaturity and perversion. Short of the site that posted the pictures in the first place, I don’t know of any other outlet that had this story before Ed did way back in July. Of course, Save Jersey has had him pegged at slime since “NACo-gate” broke back in ’09.
Magazzu is the first Democrat victim of the 2011 election cycle, and election day is still months away! You can bet that he won’t be the last. Check back with Save Jersey later for updates on this as they roll in…
