Senator Kevin O’Toole recently stepped down from his post as the Chairman of the Essex GOP. Tonight, the County Committee has unanimously elected Al Barlas to fill O’Toole’s shoes. A political operative discovered by O’Toole himself.
Barlas is a well known young player in New Jersey Republican politics and has previously served as the New Jersey Young Republican Chairman, and of course the YR Chair for his own county. Before taking on this new role, he was the executive director in Essex. He also previously worked as a legislative aid to Assemblyman O’Scanlon.
