Christie to Host N.J. Romney Fundraiser On December 12th

Governor Christie is prepared to raise big bucks for his chosen presidential candidate right in his own backyard.

The first event, a fundraiser for Mitt Romney, will be staged at the plush Parsippany Hilton in the heart of Christie’s home county of Morris. General admission tickets will go for $500; a VIP reception will be also take place for any well-heeled guest donating either $2,500 themselves or bundling $25,000 from 10 guests.

The Christie NY-NJ fundraising network will be a real boon for Mitt headed into the accelerated primary season. Interestingly, just since Christie formally endorsed the former Massachusetts Governor last month, Romney has raised an additional $300,000 out of the Garden State. Not a bad haul! Ron Paul is the next closest, and he’s pulled only $160k out of N.J. over the entire cycle to date.

Mitt will use his Christie cash to bombard New Hampshire and other early states with ads much like this one:
