Love this one:
“It was extremely daunting, because I’m from New Jersey.”
– Meryl Streep, on the challenges of playing former U.K. Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in the upcoming “Iron Lady” movie.
Great quote because we know exactly what she means, Save Jerseyans! You can take the girl out of New Jersey, but you can’t take the New Jersey out of the girl. Believe me. It’s been tried and it always fails.
Note: Streep was born in Union County (Summit, NJ) in 1949 and was raised in Somerset County (Bernardsville, NJ). She was inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame in 2008.
