The White House announced today, as the good folks at LifeSiteNews.com translated, that “instead of forcing religious employers to pay for birth control, it will force insurance companies to offer the drugs free of charge to all women, no matter where they work.”
And HOW will that keep insurance costs down, Mr. President?
It won’t, Save Jerseyans. But New Jersey Catholics affected by this decision shouldn’t expect any support from their Catholic-in-name-only U.S. senator and master of the chicken dance, Bob Menendez.
In an interview with NJ.com, Menendez’s strategist refused to support the President’s assault on religious liberty while simultaneously declining to oppose it.
Translation: Liberty be damned! Bob will do whatever Barack asks him to do!
What a chicken! The First Amendment isn’t exactly ambiguous on this particular point.
