President Obama’s mensis horribilis continued today, Save Jerseyans, when he held a rare White House press conference to try and “change the topic” (my words, not his). From what? Wisconsin, Clinton/Booker, etc. and so on. Too many issues to list right now!
Well, the President succeeded all right!
He told reporters that (1) private sector is doing just FINE, and (2) that state and local government layoffs represent a BAD trend. WHAT?!

This President is out to lunch, Save Jerseyans!
Just look at the latest data. Real unemployment (which includes those who have stopped looking for work) is through the roof. Government reduction (at the state and local levels) is about the only thing we’re doing right! Here in New Jersey, for example, we netted 2,600 jobs in April 2012 yet the unemployment rate went up. Why? Beacuse New Jersey gained 6,300 private sector jobs but eliminated 3,700 government positions. Overall, New Jersey’s gained 71,200 private sector positions since Chris Christie took office in January 2010 and lost 26,000 government jobs. Thank the 2% cap!
Meanwhile, we added only 69,000 new jobs NATIONALLY in May. Our economy needs to produce 120,000 new jobs monthly just to keep up with national population growth.
So how in God’s name is the private sector doing fine, Mr. President? If anything these figures tell you, plain and clear, that eliminating MORE government fat is the only thing that YOU, our President, can affirmatively do to positively rescure the country from another recession. Smaller government should mean lower revenues and, in turn, a lesser burden on businesses who would like to hire workers but can’t afford it.
Is it any wonder the Bain Capital attacks fell flat? President Obama continues to make our case for us, my conservative friends, and voters are obviously starting to clue in! Let’s keep the pressure turned up. It’s apparently working… with a little help from Cory Booker and Bill Clinton.
Give Obama a break. He just seasonally adjusted his statement and revised it downward a bit,that is until Booker or Clinton try to set the record straight .
