This is an address NJ should be proud of! We need the no-nonsense approach to government to increase opportunities for small business and develop jobs!
Many businesses left NJ after the famous statement "We will make business pay their fair share" from a former governor (D) that did not understand that increased taxes on business means less growth within the business and fewer jobs. Ultimately, the state taxes lost from the workforce is greater than the taxes earned from the business.
It will take time to bring business back to NJ. Dr. Overton from the Chamber of Commerce in Hanover is an example of what EVERY Chamber in the State should be doing to promote international business. No other county is having success involving local businesses and interested residents in job development initiatives. There may be classes on job search techniques, but events such as Dr. Overton organizes to promote business and continued education has been absent.
I think that this address talking about the tough choices is refreshing, and inspiring and I believe will have a significant impact attracting business back to NJ.
