@GovChristie: “L’shana tova u’metukah!”

These are trying times for Israel and its allies, Save Jerseyans.

With that backdrop, Governor Chris Christie (R-NJ) released the following statement today as the Garden State Jewish community celebrates Rosh Hashanah:

As Rosh Hashanah marks the beginning of the High Holy Days for Jewish families in New Jersey and around the world, I would like to extend my warmest greetings for a happy and healthy new year. Our state is fortunate to benefit from the service and leadership of our Jewish community, which contributes in ways large and small to New Jersey’s rich culture and diverse communities. As the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah provides an excellent occasion to reflect upon past experiences and accomplishments, while also looking forward to a new day with optimism. It is my hope that this year’s Rosh Hashanah allows all of you the opportunity to celebrate and reaffirm your faith and traditions among family, friends and loved ones. L’shana tova u’metukah!”
