So last night we heard from some guy named Castro who liked to talk about education but whose city has one of the worst school districts in the nation. Not much else to say about that other than that his speech was mediocre at best.
Then we heard from Michelle Obama, who spoke eloquently as a First Lady does. She has the skills of her husband in her for sure. While her speech was nice, there was something incredibly off putting about it. She was essentially trying to introduce us to Barack Obama, someone we have all been almost too familiar with these last four years.
However, her description of a caring man who has no regard for party or ideology but just wants to help people was something unrecognizable to even the most casual political observer. President Obama has been one of the most divisive Presidents in modern history. He uses partisan rhetoric and class warfare like no other. He gives government hand outs to political allies who squander our tax money on fruitless pursuits. He is in no way a man of compromise, but instead a man who had full control of the government, did nothing positive with it, and then when he lose control cried afoul that the other side was bullying him.
Either Michelle Obama was graciously lying, or she’s been married to someone else all of these years.
So yeah, that’s all you really missed if you didn’t tune in last night. Want to see who you’ll miss tonight when you’re busy watching better television? Well look no further than just below this sentence where you will see a bunch of names you have never heard of, followed by Bill Clinton….
