Last night, Save Jersey Founder Matt Rooney, Contributor James Beattie and I traveled to Seton Hall University for the College Republicans’ 2012 kick off event.
Matt spoke to 50+ CRs (mostly newly-recruited Freshman, which is exciting) about Save Jersey’s origins, the important of conservative youth activism, the ins and outs of new media, and the state of the current election campaigns. Both Matt and I used to head our respective universities’ CR chapters back in the day (a lot further back for him!), so Matt also shared a little perspective on the courage required of a campus conservative.
The net result of the evening? Lots of new sign-ups for the CRs and, hopefully, some future Save Jerseyans in the audience, too!
