REPORT: State, Authorities Purportedly Raid Home Over Seemingly Innocuous Gun Photo on Facebook
By Matt Rooney | The Save Jersey Blog
Have you heard about this story out of Carneys Point, Save Jerseyans? Allegedly, the Department of Children and Families (formerly know as “DYFS”) raided a man’s home because of a photo of his son holding a gun that was posted on Facebook. It’s unbelievable stuff, but it’s gone viral and the story is making national headlines…
I won’t bore you with my take. You already know where I’m coming from as a Second Amendment supporter and big government skeptic! Here’s a good overview of the purported details from Cam Edwards and Evan Nappen, attorney for the father:

This boy's father holds three very significant firearms designations:
NRA Certified Firearms Instructor – One of the toughest certifications to attain, requiring skills with the weapons as well as teaching.
NRA Certified Range Safety Instructor.
NJ State Certified Firearms Hunting Instructor.
AND his son in the picture is certified in New Jersey to handle a firearm and took & passed the NJ JR Hunter's Course and was certified by a different instructor not his father. I think Governor Christie should get involved and order his Attorney General to start an Investigation into this unfortunate violation of the law and the 2nd Amendment by these State Workers.
No, not the AG; Christie should either make use of a special counsel or investigate the matter personally like the prosecutor he once was.

This was not the first NJ authorities responded over the top regarding guns–not long ago was this story which also made news across the nation, as I noticed it here at a conservative news source from Florida .. >>
