N.J. Governor Continues Mini-March Shore Tour with Monmouth Co. Town Hall

After spending Wednesday in Cape May and Atlantic Counties boosting the Sandy recovery and Shore tourism, Governor Chris Christie is headed to Monmouth County on Thursday for one of his signature town hall meetings.
The event is set to begin at 4:00 p.m. at Manasquan High School, 167 Broad Street in Manasquan.
Head on over if you’d like to participate, Save Jerseyans, but be sure not to dawdle. It’s still the hottest ticket in town and seating is limited.
And if you go, expect the Governor to discuss how, in his opinion, 2012 was a record year for state tourism notwithstanding a rough ending on the heels of Superstorm Sandy. In Atlantic City on Wednesday, the Governor touted a 4.8% uptick in tourism last year versus 2011 as over 82 million out-of-staters vacationed in New Jersey. The tourism industry accounted for 7% of New Jersey’s GDP in 2012, an amount roughly equivalent to the entire state budget.
