Felix Marte: The Right Choice for NJCRs

By Matthew Gilson | The Save Jersey Blog

ElephantsAnyone who went to college knows it is not easy to be a Republican on any campus. However, that does not mean there are not many strong and active conservatives to be found on campuses all across the state.

The New Jersey College Republicans have been in existence for over one hundred years helping to promote conservative values and recruit the next generation of leaders in our party. The state federation consists over a dozen active chapters with varying levels of involvement. College Republicans have had their hand in nearly every competitive in the race in the state lately and have helped pulled candidates over the finish line in high-profile races all the way to local races through their “Adopt a Town” program.

This year it is a pleasure to endorse Felix Marte, former chairman of the Farleigh Dickinson College Republicans, to be the next chairman of the NJCRs.

Felix has worked on numerous campaigns and currently works down in Trenton helping to lead the good fight. He is not running for this office for any personal glory, he truly believes in the causes we fight for. It is his ability to recruit from colleges onto the campaign trail and not just into the classroom which makes him a truly spectacular choice. Felix embodies the qualities of a clear vision, a strong leadership persona, unrivaled work ethic and a vast personal network that will allow him to succeed as chair.

In an effort to unify all chapters, Felix has assembled a ticket which includes members from nearly all active chapters:

Co-Chair:                                            Steven Berner (Rowan)
Northern Vice-Chair:                    Christina Catalano (FDU)
Southern Vice-Chair:                    Chris Coleman (Stockton)
Executive Director:                       Harrison Furman (Stockton)
Communications Director:         Katie Cericola (Seton Hall)
Treasurer:                                          Donald Coughlan     (Rutgers)
Fundraising Director:                    Samm Simpson (Rider)
Secretary:                                           Kelsey Shannon (Drew)
Event Coordinator:                        Chris Gabbett (Ramapo)

Please join us May 11th at 10AM at Rutgers University for our convention. Contact Felix Marte or myself for more information.
