Heads up, Save Jerseyans: the New Jersey Legislature’s Joint Committee on Ethical Standards will hold a hearing on Tuesday to consider the ethics complaint filed against Assemblyman Nelson Albano (D-Vineland).
The proceeding is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at the State House Annex in Committee Room #7.
Albano has received criticism from all quarters for falsely accusing a state trooper of improper conduct during a routine 2012 traffic stop; the veteran Assemblyman tried to leverage his position to get out of speeding ticket and then, subsequent to the stop, wrote a letter to the state police superintendent containing allegations that he later admitted were false.
