After launching his first TV spot of the general election last week, Save Jerseyans, Governor Chris Christie went live statewide on Monday with a new spot that takes direct aim at Barbara Buono’s extensive pro-tax record:

“Barbara Buono has been unrelenting on one issue during her career as a Trenton politician – raising taxes and fees on New Jersey families. She raised taxes to fuel state spending to its highest level ever, and still voted to give herself a 40 percent pay raise while taking more and more from taxpayers,” said Christie for Governor Campaign Manager Bill Stepien. ” As voters learn more about Buono’s record, they will continue to reject her vision to take New Jersey back to the days of higher taxes, higher spending, and self-interested politics-as-usual in Trenton.”
When she isn’t blaming President Obama for her campaign woes, Sen. Buono is still begging supporters for money to launch her own ads. So far, national Democrat organizations including the DGA have contributed next to nothing to the Buono effort. I weep for her…
