The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) hasn’t jumped into the New Jersey Senate Special as of yet, Save Jerseyans, but the NRSC clearly believes its donor base would like to see Cory Booker (D-Twitter) defeated on October 16th.
The part-time mayor of New Jersey’s largest city is the target of a new NRSC fundraising email.
“Newark Mayor Cory Booker is in the lead, but that lead is dropping — indicating momentum is shifting as we get closer to Election Day,” NRSC press secretary Brook Hougesen explained. “As they learn more about his character, voters are realizing that Cory Booker isn’t fit to serve/ Booker has been caught lying about a fictional friend named T-Bone and inflating stories about his past. Then, it was revealed that he was tweeting with strippers. The last thing we need in the Senate is another Anthony Weiner.”
In addition to highlighting the Democrat nominee’s bad headlines, the NRSC’s email touted a new poll from Quinnipiac showing Steve Lonegan within 12-points of Booker as evidence of a tightening race.
