That’s the word from West Palm Beach’s NBC affiliate this afternoon, Save Jerseyans.
According to WPTV-5, “[a]gents served a search warrant at Dr. Salomon Melgen’s office in the 2500 block of Metro Centre Blvd. They have taped off the office’s parking lot, and several boxes were seen stacked outside.”
You’ll recall that New Jersey’s own Bob Menendez came under intense scrutiny in late 2012/early 2013 for flights to the Dominican Republican financed by Melgen, a Florida-based eye doctor and long-time Menendez donor, which may’ve allegedly violated Senate ethics rules. Sen. Menendez received hundreds of thousands of dollars from Melgen over the years in campaign donations.
There’s no indication as of yet whether this latest FBI raid involves that prior story line or a fresh investigation…
