Today’s new Monmouth University poll is almost identical to the last Monmouth poll, Save Jerseyans, with Chris Christie leading Barbara Buono by 19-points, 56% to 37%.
He was ahead of her by 20-points in Monmouth’s August survey.
The Governor’s polling average remains at +24 as a result.
Here are the seven most recent polls from the seven different polling organizations that have released survey results since August:
Monmouth University – Christie +19
Kean University (NEW) – Christie +18
Quinnipiac University (NEW) – Christie +34
Stockton University – Christie +28
Rutgers-Eagleton – Christie +20
Rasmussen Reports – Christie +26
Fairleigh Dickinson – Christie +24
Monmouth University – Christie +20
“Christie’s level of firm support means the eventual winner is not in question,” concluded Patrick Murray, the director of the Monmouth University Polling Institute. “The only unknown is the final margin of victory.”
Buono still hasn’t broken through the 40% mark in any released public poll over the past year. Her draw in this poll (37%) represents her best percentage in any public poll to date. Still, only 68% of Democrats support her reelection bid.

So Christie is up 19 in the Monmouth poll, down from 20. Booker is at 12 in that poll , down from 13. When that happened all the Lonegan supporters were giddy with the polls "narrowing". Feel the same about Christie's "narrowing" numbers.
