Judge Orders LD2 Ballots Counted

By Matt Rooney | The Save Jersey Blog

christiepolistinaamodeoAtlantic/Cape May Assignment Judge Julio Mendez has dealt a potential blow to the campaign of incumbent Assemblyman John Amodeo (R), Save Jerseyans, ruling on Friday afternoon that 115 of 116 challenged provisional ballots would be opened and counted.

I’m told a majority of these ballots are from heavily-Democratic Atlantic City and Pleasantville.

Those folks with knowledge of the district are no longer expressing optimism that Amodeo can maintain his slim lead (“10” or “2” votes, depending upon which party’s count you accept) over Northfield Mayor Vincent Mazzeo (D).  The 2-ballot narrative put the total at 25,090 to 25,088 for Amodeo heading into court today.

Stay tuned…
