We’re now taking nominations for something new in 2013, folks… drum roll please…
The Save Jerseyan of the Year Award.
What’s that? It’s a way to honor one person in New Jersey politics — and he or she could be a volunteer, candidate, elected official, consultant, blogger, sign blitz technician — who did the most over the past year to help SAVE New Jersey.
Only two individuals are ineligible: (1) Governor Christie and (2) me. Everyone else is fair game IF you can explain to me, in 500 words or less, why said individual’s efforts throughout the 2013 cycle embodied the Save Jersey spirit. Visit our “about us” page for a little background if you’re new to the site. Regular readers know what that I’m talking about raising hell and taking on big government in a constructive and effective manner.
I’ll then look at the nominations, pick the “best” candidates (I’m using my own process, but I’ll likely select folks with multiple nominations and/or superiorly impressive stories which I can verify) and finally let the Save Jersey readership vote on them over the holidays.
Send your nominations to mattrooney@savejersey.com. Let’s make the deadline Thanksgiving? Looking forward to hearing from you guys AND honoring a Save Jerseyan who’s singularly worthy of our attention and gratitude as we enter a season of thanksgiving.
