The New Jersey Legislature plans to address its “lame duck” agenda on Monday, Save Jerseyans, but Governor Chris Christie will be in Washington, D.C. hunting for 2016 support among the business community.
He’s one of the elite invited guests at this year’s Wall Street Journal CEO Council’s annual meeting at the Four Seasons Hotel Washington.
The event’s format is unique and, as chance would have it, well-suited to the New Jersey Republican; a group of Wall Street Journal editors pepper A-list guests including Barack Obama and Paul Ryan with topical public interest questions as big wig corporate executives watch.
Governor Christie is already a darling of the corporate community, drawing the backing of old school, old economy GOP donors as well as tech leaders like Facebook’s Mark Zuckerburg. His team hopes their influence (read: cash) can help him roll over the competition in the 2016 primary.
12, 2010, the city of Birmingham will present the Farmers Market Hay Day to celebrate the city’s agricultural
heritage. It is in those days that we most need to remember why we continue to love and educate our little angels.
The difficult with most of these formats relates to both cost
and relative effectiveness.
