The “big” 2016 news on Tuesday consisted of three new polls, Save Jerseyans, each showing Governor Chris Christie trailing Hillary “Hilldawg” Clinton by significant margins in three separate states.
Two aren’t surprising (albeit disappointing). One is much more concerning.
The joint venture of Roanoke College in Virginia, Rutgers-Eagleton in New Jersey, and Siena College in New York found the former Secretary of State leading New Jersey’s top Republican by 8 points, 10 points and 36 points, respectively. A dissenting Virginia survey from Christopher Newport University dropped Monday found a statistical tie with Clinton ahead 43% to 41%.

It’s early, yes, and we all know that the Rutgers-Eagleton Poll’s election projection accuracy is akin to that of a gambler picking lottery numbers.
We’ve still seen plenty of evidence over the past couple of weeks reinforcing the conclusion that the Governor’s base support is flat-lining due to a confluence of damaging storylines; a recent Monmouth poll even found close to one quarter of New Jersey Republicans turning on their standard-bearer.

Well that was the media and democrats goal with so-called BridgeGate and dragging Christie’s name through the mud. I don;’t think Clinton leading in NY means anything though – I seriously doubt he would have lead there no matter what. New Yorkers love their carpetbagger Senator.

Robert, Christie is to blame for surrounding himself with jackals. Phony Baroni is the worst; saw through him the first time I met him a decade ago. And their plot to raise tolls while making Christie look “good” by only raising them a massive amount instead of an absurd amount makes Christie look like an ass.
I don’t trust the guy and won’t be voting for him in the primary or the general, but I won’t have to because he won’t even sniff the nomination.
Christie does NOT sell Down South or Out West.
If the poll’s intent was to present Christie as sorta Republican frontrunner, face met palm with bone crashing force. Stick a harpoon in him, he’s ready. How did your snogfest with Ogabe work out for ya, Mr. Governor?
