Here’s your Memorial Day 2014 message from Chris Christie, Save Jerseyans:
“Today, we honor the brave men and women who have defended our country’s freedom throughout history with bravery, courage, and selflessness. Their service to our state and to our nation is unequaled and sets an example for all Americans. We will never forget the sacrifice and commitment of our veterans and their families who support them every single day. This Memorial Day, I encourage all New Jerseyans to join me in thanking these men and women for their love of our country and their willingness to serve in order for us to secure the lives and freedoms that we’re privileged to have as Americans.”
Governor Christie has no public schedule for Memorial Day; Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno participated in an American Legion Post 351 Memorial Day ceremony in Seaside Heights.
In New Jersey we have a wonderful organization that honors our service men and women who gave their lives for our country but for whom no family members have been found to give them a proper burial. They periodically conduct a respectful ceremony and inter orphaned cremains at General Doyle Cemetery.
