Could New Jerseyans soon see toll booths on I-287 or I-295?
Quite possibly. The Obama Administration’s so-called ‘Grow America Act’ would, if implemented, eliminate “the prohibition on tolling existing free Interstate highways, subject to the approval of the Secretary, for purposes of reconstruction.” With New Jersey facing a $600+ million project deficit for FY 2016, Save Jerseyans, it’s easy to imagine that the state might seize upon this newly-discovered flexibility to bring in more cash.

I’ve gotten Bell’s mailers, heard Sabrin’s radio ads, seen Pezzullo’s signs and heard his ad, and Goldberg’s on the line here in Stafford. Needless to say I was torn. But some Pezzullo volunteers came by my house and really took time to talk with me about Rich and the issues, and I’ve gotta say I’m a believer. Glad to see him getting some press attention.
Brian Goldberg has my vote. While it’s cool Rich put this together, Brian also believes we pay too many tolls already, and is taking a hard stance against additional STEALING from NJ commuters. But I think Brian has the best shot of beating Cory Booker.
