A Navy SEAL veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan and a current associate with Pepper Hamilton LLP in Philadelphia, Peters replaces Mt. Holly Mayor Rich DiFolco who dropped out last week.

“Public service is incredibly important to me and I am honored to have the opportunity to run for Freeholder this year with Kate Gibbs on the Republican ticket,” said Peters in a statement. “I look forward to speaking with and listening to every county resident I can meet between now and November about what’s important to them. I don’t expect them to hand me their vote; I expect to earn it. Whether it was serving in combat overseas or working to put myself through law school, I know all about hard work and have never shied away from it.”

Peters and his running mate, ELEC 825’s Kate Gibbs. will face off against incumbent Democrats Aimee Belgard and Joanne Schwartz in the general election.
