Norcross announces opposition to Iran Deal

Another New Jersey Democrat is coming out against President Obama’s Iran Deal: Donald Norcross.

He shared his rationale on Tuesday evening with the Congregation Sons of Israel in Cherry Hill:

My remarks Tuesday evening, August 18, 2015 at Congregation Sons of Israel in Cherry Hill, NJ announcing my opposition to the Iran nuclear deal.

“The Iranian regime is a known sponsor of terrorism that has made no secret of its hatred for both the Unites States and Israel,” Norcross explained. “Providing relief for them by lifting economic sanctions now essentially rewards past behavior and infuses billions of dollars into the their economy that could be used to buy more weapons and outsource more terror. Moreover, the deal does not provide enough assurance that Iran will be restricted from developing or acquiring nuclear weapons. So this windfall may ultimately help fund their nuclear ambitions.”

The freshman congressman joins Senator Bob Menendez who also announced opposition on Tuesday at the other end of the state but, according to widespread reports, a steady trickle of Democrat defections won’t be enough to prevent the President’s historic capitulation from clearing Congress. Neither man’s opposition means much unless they actively try to whip votes…
