Surgeon-turned-politician Ben Carson is now solidly in the lead in the Hawkeye State, Save Jerseyans, having built a 14-point lead over Donald Trump in the first battleground of the 2016 primary.
“While the leaderboard positions have changed, the outsider candidates still dominate this race. The GOP’s leadership may hope that an establishment figure will emerge, but that may not happen while their voters remain dissatisfied with the party as a whole,” explained Patrick Murray, head of the Monmouth University Poll that produced the survey.

Carson has now led in four of the last five public Iowa polls which are the only ones out so far in October.
Meanwhile, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie continues to poll at 1% in Iowa, a result that hasn’t change since July despite recent reports of increased efforts there.

Maybe if he got a clue and stopped denying evolution… how can you be a frigging NEUROSURGEON and not believe in evolution? Either (a) he’s lying about what he thinks his supporters want to hear, which makes him dishonest and I can’t support him, or (b) he actually believes this stuff, which makes him an idiot and makes me want to stop using “brain surgery” as an example of something only smart people can do.
