REPORT: Christie on Boston flight delayed by passenger incident

What is it with Chris Christie and travel incidents lately, Save Jerseyans?

According to FOX 25 Boston, the Guv was on a Friday Boston-bound United Flight en route to New Hampshire when an alleged incident with a passenger caused a four hour delay. Citing “operational difficulties,” Flight 1108 was reportedly taken back to the gate where passengers were disembarked and checked.

The TV station also claimed that “someone said something to Christie, which led to the deplaning.”

Then the unconfirmed passenger tweet fest commenced:

But hold up: the Christie political team disputes at least certain key aspects of the initial reports and insists the Governor and the passenger never even interacted.

“Governor Christie, an aide and a member of his security detail were traveling on a United flight from San Francisco to Boston this morning when a passenger was removed from the plane before takeoff at the request of United Airlines,” Chris Christie campaign spokesperson Maria Comella explained in a statement. “At no point did Governor Christie interact with this passenger nor did this passenger pose a verbal or physical threat to the Governor. Any other inquiries about this matter should be directed to United Airlines.”

The Governor dealt with the fallout from a more innocuous but highly-publicized incident back in October when initial reports of him chewing out an Amtrak employee were ultimately discredited. So be careful what you consume, folks…

And as for the Guv: maybe it’s time to start taking the bus?
