Snowtime: 6” to 18” forecasted for most of New Jersey

Residents in New Jersey’s more northern reaches might escape Winter Storm Jonas with little more than a wintry mix, Save Jerseyans, but for most of the state, this weekend will be our first major snow event of the season.

A Blizzard Warning will be in effect from Midnight tonight through Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. for the following Garden State counties: Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, Essex, Hudson, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, Salem, Somerset, and Union. High winds and low visibility is on the menu. Significant flooding and beach erosion is also expected along the Jersey Shore’s coastline…

Here’s the National Weather Service’s latest snow totals as of 5:00 a.m. Friday. Let’s hope they do a better job with our tax dollars this time around:
