Governor Chris Christie, now a leading Donald Trump surrogate, weathered a blistering cross-examination from George Stephanopoulos on Sunday and tried to explain why his differences with the Republican front runner – ranging from a ban on Muslims entering the U.S. to entitlement reform – are not consequential:
