Over the long Labor Day holiday weekend, Save Jerseyans, Save Jersey Blogger-in-Chief Matt Rooney weighed in for a Gannett newspapers story on Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno and her frequent guest appearance on Bill Spadea‘s NJ 101.5 morning program.
In Matt’s opinion?
Beyond obvious political angles, the radio stints with Spadea are merely a logical part of her ramped-up role in the governance of New Jersey:
From a government relations perspective, Guadagno’s regular appearances reflect well on the administration and show it is involved and concerned about the issues facing New Jersey’s residents and businesses. And in that way, “Diggin’ in With Kim” is like a “more regular version of the ‘Ask the Governor’ program,” said Matt Rooney, a lawyer and conservative commentator who runs the Save Jersey blog and regularly appears on Spadea’s “Chasing News” show.
“It’s no secret that Chris Christie’s been on the road these days,” Rooney said. “She’s been our governor for a significant portion of the last two years. It’s a good opportunity for her to get out there” and use a platform that allows her to “communicate directly with the voters.”
