THE AMERICAN BREXIT: TRUMP PROJECTED TO WIN PRESIDENCY

CLINTON TEAM REF– USES TO CONCEDE AS HANDFUL OF STATES REMAIN CLOSE

________

Donald Trump appears to be president-elect of the United States of America.

In a close fought electoral college battle that dragged into early morning Wednesday, the Republican nominee stunned Democrats, shocked the globe and roiled financial markets by drawing on strength in the so-called ‘Rust Belt’ states like Wisconsin and Ohio which the GOP hasn’t generated since the 1980s and defeating former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Republicans also held on to both the U.S. House and Senate with minimal loses relative to the projections of pollsters and prognosticators who had an objectively bad night.

Pennsylvania appeared to put Trump over the top (with 48.9% of the vote with 99% reporting to Clinton’s 47.6%) with 274 electoral votes according to a call from The Associated Press while a handful of other jurisdictions remained too close to call.

Television networks were nevertheless initially reluctant to issue official race calls.

What’s more, the Clinton campaign was not originally prepared to concede early Wednesday morning, dispatching Wikileaks star John Podesta to the Democrat nominee’s campaign party to ask supports to “wait a little longer” in remarks akin to Al Gore’s refusal to concede Election 2000. However, after PA was finally called in the early hours, Hillary Clinton called President-elect Trump to concede.

I hold it that a little rebellion now and then is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical.”
