Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno (R-N.J.) offered the following statement on Friday following Donald Trump‘s inauguration as America’s 45th president:
Regardless of your politics, today represents the best of American Democracy as both sides come together to celebrate the peaceful transition of power. Our elected leaders in Washington now have an important opportunity to unite our country to enact policies that will make our country and our state better. I join all New Jerseyans in wishing President Trump a very successful presidency.”
Guadagno is considered the front runner for the 2017 New Jersey Republican nomination for governor.
She did not vote for Donald Trump last November but her former campaign manager and 2017 campaign architect, Christie Administration alumnus Bill Stepien, is President Trump’s new White House Political Director.
