The Democrat Senate President’s rock relationship with New Jersey’s most powerful public sector union reached a boiling point last August when he accused the NJEA and Fraternal Order of Police of extorting his Democrat caucus. The NJEA promptly dispatched Sweeney’s early-stage gubernatorial primary campaign.

Apparently they’re not quite done with him yet.

Republicans haven’t yet unveiled their chosen candidate for the general election.
