MDW SPRINT: Guadagno, Ciattarelli Hit the Boards for Jersey Shore Retail Politics

New Jerseyans are focusing on barbecuing, gardening and beaching this weekend, but for the candidates running in the June 6th primary election, it’s an important opportunity to press flesh and be seen.

The front runner, Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno, attended a Department of Military and Veterans Affair’s State Memorial Day ceremony in Wrightstown (Burlington County) before heading down to a New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Memorial Day ceremony on her home turf (the Monmouth County community of Holmdel).

On Friday, she somehow managed to fit in some boardwalk handshaking and baby-kissing further south on the Garden State Parkway in Wildwood (Cape May County):

Campaigning in Wildwood today. Nothing better than spending time at the Jersey Shore!

Meanwhile, in Ocean County, Asm. Jack Ciattarelli (R-16) ventured into a deeply Republican county supportive of her opponent to hunt for votes:

Meeting and greeting residents at the Point Pleasant Boardwalk. Getting some sun and earning votes!

The only recent public poll reports a 19-point Guadagno lead.
