New Jerseyans are focusing on barbecuing, gardening and beaching this weekend, but for the candidates running in the June 6th primary election, it’s an important opportunity to press flesh and be seen.
The front runner, Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno, attended a Department of Military and Veterans Affair’s State Memorial Day ceremony in Wrightstown (Burlington County) before heading down to a New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Memorial Day ceremony on her home turf (the Monmouth County community of Holmdel).
On Friday, she somehow managed to fit in some boardwalk handshaking and baby-kissing further south on the Garden State Parkway in Wildwood (Cape May County):

Meanwhile, in Ocean County, Asm. Jack Ciattarelli (R-16) ventured into a deeply Republican county supportive of her opponent to hunt for votes:

The only recent public poll reports a 19-point Guadagno lead.
