RESULTS: Kim Guadagno Wins N.J. GOP Gubernatorial Nomination

Kim Guadagno has clinched the New Jersey Republican gubernatorial nomination, Save Jerseyans, besting four competitors by a healthy margin and winning the right to fight to succeed Chris Christie.

It wasn’t particularly close with, as of this writing, the Lieutenant Governor’s apparent margin of victory exceeding a recently released internal polling  memorandum’s projections.

Home turf mattered, too. The former Jersey Shore sheriff was powered by strong performances along the coast, notably in Ocean County where the woman known affectionately as “the LG” by her supporters topped her closest rival, Somerset Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli, by around 10,000 votes.
