#WINNING: SCOTUS Reinstates Bulk of Trump’s Controversial ‘Travel Ban’

The U.S. Supreme Court stepped in to put the 9th Circuit in its place on Monday morning, Save Jerseyans, permitting the Trump Administration to enforce most provisions of its reworked “travel ban” executive order.

Citizens of Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen are impacted by the executive order. Justices did. however, carve out one narrow exception for anyone “with a credible claim of a bona fide relationship with a person or entity in the United States.”

The decision was unsigned.

Oral arguments is schedule for October; that means the President’s “extreme vetting” procedures can continue unabated as an internal review process to revamp the U.S. visa system continues during the summer and into the fall.

President Trump had previously stated that he expects the ban to take effect within 72 hours of a positive court decision.
