Two bits of information to share on this balmy July 4th Eve, Save Jerseyans:
(1) Three well-placed sources in the GOP caucus report that they’ve been put on notice to arrive at the State House tonight for 9:00 p.m., if not sooner. “We’re still waiting on details” the source acknowledged, noting that Prieto, Vitale (the Senate Horizon sponsor) and the insurance giant had been meeting for much of the afternoon and “there is movement.”
(2) Speaker Prieto has confirmed to the media that his staff is drafting something; it’s rumored to be a compromise Horizon bill.
Don’t be surprised if the government shutdown is over by Independence Day, for good or for ill….
