It’s more than a little ironic that U.S. Senator Al Franken (D-MN) founded a political action committee called the “Midwest Values PAC,” Save Jerseyans, particularly in light of the release of a 2006 photograph showing the former comedian groping the chest of journalist Leeann Tweeden while Tweeden defenselessly slept on a USO tour flight.
So… who’s taken cash from the Midwest Values PAC? Out of the $145,500 donated to Democrats this cycle?
In 2017, the PAC contributed $1,500 to none other than Mikie Sherrill (D, NJ-11), Republican incumbent Rodney Frelinghuysen’s Democrat challenger for the coming Midterm cycle.
Sherrill recently retweeted a criticism of Rep. Frelinghuysen’s reaction to this fall’s cultural sexual harassment crackdown sweeping the entertainment and political worlds.
Will the Democrat now condemn Franken? And return his cash (if she hasn’t panicked and done so already)?
