Cook moves NJ-11 into the toss-up column

Ominous news this morning for the House Appropriations Chairman and scion of a storied New Jersey political family, Save Jerseyans, but nothing anyone watching this year’s Midterm cycle taking shape couldn’t have told you months ago:

Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen is expected to face Democrat Mikie Sherrill next November.

Five New Jersey House seats are considered in play this year according to Cook’s chart.

NJ-3 (MacArthur) is “likely Republican” while NJ-05 (Gottheimer) is “lean Democrat” and NJ-07 (Lance) is “lean Republican.”

NJ-02 (LoBiondo – open) and NJ-11 (Frelinghuysen) are the two toss-ups.
